350mag B3,
There appears to be an aux input on the back of the head unit but it is rca type jacks, red and white. Is there a cable that plugs into that and then into the headphone jack on the Ipod? If so, where can I find one long enough to reach to the helm? Thanks SB

I prefer to use a cable that plugs to the bottom of the ipod. It is line out so you don't have to worry about the volume controls on the ipod.
They don't make one for the XMD3. You have to by an ipod interface module/box that I hear dosen't work very well; it simulates a cd changer to the xmd3. Even the newer Clarion head units suck when at controlling ipods. Big letdown. I don't think the newer clarion remotes will show the artist song title on the wired remotes. I'm giving serious consideration to changing going with an Alpine or Pioneer head unit and changing out both helm and stern remotes. Clarion is really lagging when it comes to support for newer technologies.
