Clarion radio died in 5min.

The Clarion radio in my 06 Sea Ray 200 select started OK today But crackled. Got quieter and slowly just died. It’s still picking up stations but there’s no sound coming out of any speakers. Makes for a pretty crappy day on the water...any help appreciated.

Sorry to hear that but on the bright side, makes for a great excuse to go stereo shopping.

Is there a second battery that the stereo runs off of? Charged up? Maybe it died?

Usually a fuse in-line with a power lead (might be yellow), they are usually cheap and do sometimes corrode and fail.

However as you describe sound like the last gasps of life.

You would have to test - it might also be the amp not the head unit.

Ok so pulled all fuses and killed bat. Waited 5 min replaced fuses and turned on. It works!!!

I agree with the above. need to confirm if the speakers are head unit powered or external amp powered.
