Does anyone need a replacement faceplate for their M5170 stereo? I took a side flash lightening strike over the summer that smoked my stereo. I'm going to toss the stereo out as it is melted inside where the ground wire contacts it. If you want the faceplate it's yours-free.

Hey Todd!

I have the stereo as my faceplate went bad. lol you want it? of course we both replaced the stereos, no?

That is hilarious Steve!!

Mike,
I guess you're right. I already purchased a Clarion M309 because I wanted an Ipod input as well as RCA inputs for my satellite. I am also adding a Blu-Ray player and will be looking to send an audio feed from that into it too! Watch for my "Stereo Upgrade" thread coming this March/April only on CSR!! :smt043

Did you get a new remote? I am happy with my M309 but I did have to divide the RCA in between the TV and my remote XM unit as there were not enough connections for me. I just used a paired Y cable and do not run them at the same time. MM

Sorry Mike,
I just saw this post today! Don't know how I missed it. Yes I will be adding the LCD remote to the helm. I too will be using the "Y" adapter for the remote input as I am adding the RF key fob to control the tunes from the dock. As far as RCA inputs go, I will probably have to split that too. I believe I saw an RCA input splitter from JL audio or Alpine that controls what gets fed into the head unit automatically by determining the signal inputs. It will not allow the second device to come through if one is already running. It's gonna be a MF'er to hook all of this stuff up!!! But, it will be sweet when it is done!!

Dave,
Hang on to your unit and I will give you the faceplate this summer. You can then offer it up to anyone who wants/needs that unit!

IF you still have the face plate I could really use it.

Thanks. Bob

BOB,
I do still have it and actually saw it recently in my garage. It's yours. PM me your shipping info and I'll send it out in the next week or so. Dave actually had a different model radio so he didn't need it.
