Just installed a factory refurbished CMD5 unit replacing a CMD4. I had a Sirius SAT radio module running on the CMD4. I switched so I could add an Ipod interface. The Ipod interface is working great. Now the Sirius radio is not "updating". The display then changes to "invalid channel". The SAT radio ID number registers on the display on the CMD5 and is the same # as was previously on my account so I know I have a connection to the module. If you can't "update" then you can't change the channel to 184 to get the ping to re-activate. We did not touch the old SAT radio module. We don't have a local Clarion dealer anymore so there is no one to talk to here. Clarion won't talk to anyone but a dealer, catch-22. Anyone with any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I get the condition you mention after disconnecting my batteries. To correct it, I disconnect the cable from the head unit to the sirius box, then disconnect the power cable to the sirius box...sort of a reboot if you will. Plug them both in after waiting a minute and the head unit links up again. I hope that is all it is for you.

i had the same problem after i disconnected my sirius box, you need to go to the radio and manual tune to the channnel and pre-set it on the radio first. then your remote should work normal. hope the helps !

Stray Cat is correct, you need to do a system reset. Sounds stupid but it will correct the issue. Unplug, wait a minute or two then plug back in. Make sure head unit is powered off when disconnecting and connecting.

The reboot worked!!! As always, you guys have the answers. Thank you.

Did you ever have trouble withe the ipod interface? I have the same unit and when I plug into the ipod connection, the sound is not coming out correctly. I can barely hear the vocals... everything sounds faded

I had the iPod interface on my 210SEL (had a CDM4a if I'm not mistaken and did have Sirius, but no CD changer). I took the interface out when I traded the boat in. When the 290DA is delivered in a few days, I plan on installing the interface (has a CDM 5 with no Sirius, but with the CD changer). From the way it sounds, the interface should work with no problems. Is this correct? Thanks.
