As an overall brand, yes, JL builds a better product, especially amps. Specifically, you would want to compare the xc2510 with the JL M series 700/5. Unless I was powering a very small and mild system AND space was an issue, id go with the larger chassis of the M series over a pocket amp like the xc series.
