Christmas in Aug!! New goodies for the boat.

The Fed-UPS Fairy brought me some presents this past week....well, I guess the wern't "presents" since I paid for them, but none the less still a reason to be excited. So I got back from my weekend work trip and the gf had boxes for me to open!!! The gf and I have started a bet as to whether or not I can get the CMD5 to fit in the hole in the dash of the 200BR. So if you see one up for sale next week you know why!!

The speakers are Polk Momo (4) 6.5in component speakers and (2) 5.25in. Amp is a Phoenix Gold 800watt 4 channel to power the 6.5in speakers. 5.25in speakers will be powered by the deck......that is if it fits :smt017

Now to just find time to install.

The DIN size on the CMD4 really wasn't big at all. did they upsized the CMD5?

I am currently working/living 100miles from home, boat, and gf. So when I go home it is usually just quick trips. When I got back late Sunday, if I had decided to work on the boat instead of spending time with her, I think she would have made me sleep on the boat with my dog.

Not sure, all I know is the rear looks like a standard stereo but the face/door is huge. I have a feeling it will fit nicely in the recessed portion, with removal of factory "rain shield", but I am a little worried......and the gf, she would bet the house that it won't.

I will bet it will fit. They squared the face up a bit on the CMD series more consistent with the old rain guard size.

Your radio is above the steering wheel...correct. You could always put it somewhere else and make a blank cover for that opening.

Just a little over a hundred and I got it on good old ebay. Just search around for someone with good ratings, both the remote and the cable, and order them together. That way you can get them to combine shipping and save $10-$20.
