I have a thought. I wonder, why can't we select where our tax money is spent?
I mean, when we pay our taxes, why can't we have check boxes that send our taxes, to the funds we would like the money spent on. For instance, I don't have kids, but most of my taxes go to paying for education, then I drive over potholed ridden roads. I'd rather have my taxes fund dredging the ICW, than going to welfare. You get my meaning. This would also be a way to see, what is important to the masses of the people in america. Programs that are wanted, will be overflowing, and programs that are not, will go broke. That way everyone can feel good about the investment we make in America.
