I have a chirping sound from the alternator pulley on one engine of my 2004 320 Sundancer-- 350 hp engine.)
Any thoughts on quieting it down?

Are you sure it is the alt. pulley and not the water pump? I had same issue but turned out to be the engine water pump. If it is the alt. pulley try cleaning and check belt tension.

you can try misting a little water on the belt while the engine is idling, be carefull, and if the chirp stops (it will only be temporary) the belt is most likely glazed. Clean the pulleys with scotch brite pad and replace the belt with your spare and see what happens. If your spare is a new belt, just keep the used one as the "new" spare.

I had a chirping on old boat which would always ome back shortly after putting on a new belt...Ended being a little pitting on the inside of the pulley chewing away at the belt and eventually would make the belt lose/sloppy and also clog up my spark arrester. Check your pulleys and make sure they are clean
