Hi everyone - Anyone have recommendations in Chicago for (1) canvas (need to replace Bimini + glass and camper) and (2) electronics (install fusion head unit + wired helm remote)?

I just picked up my new to me 360 Sundancer this past weekend and drove it back across the lake Saturday. I could likely do the stereo install as have done on my other boats but just lacking time.

Thank!

Vince at chicago marine canvas on Kedzie is likely your best option for canvas work locally. Have used him many times and while not cheap, they get it right and stand by their work. Not sure on the stereo work as I do electronics myself. What harbor are you at?

Check with @KevinC at Cove Marine. They have plans for the originals and I am very pleased with the replacement Bimini I ordered from them. Top notch service and craftsmanship from them.

Thank you, have seen ads for Chicago Marine Canvas everywhere. I assumed they did good work and will give them a call to check their schedule. Was wondering about others as well to consider. I had a guy who did all my canvas and upholstery work when I restored a couple of older boats in North Carolina. Worked out of his own shop and did excellent work. Wish it was practical to have him do this work, but too difficult not being able to be on the boat.

I am at 31st street.

I believe the patterns stopped at 340 DA’s. I think the 360’s (and larger) were all custom made to each boat

Small world. I'm assuming you're on E dock, my buddy @Chaz_360 has the white 2002 360 that's near you if so. Vince and his team do great work, they've handled all my repairs and glass replacement for the past 5 years or so.

Welcome to 31st st harbor! I am in a 2002 360 Sundancer, just a couple slips down from you. Vince at Chicago Marine Canvas does quality work. As far as the stereo, our dock neighbor in the Cantius just had a guy doing work on his stereo last week, i'll get the contact info next time I see him, or if you see him first go ahead and stop by. This is my first season in 31st st harbor, everyone in that area on the dock is great and down there regularly.

If you guys haven't already - join the "Chicago Boaters" group on Facebook...

Correct - with the exception of the 370's from 2010 to 2017. I believe these 360s were internally produced canvas.

Thanks! Yes, have noted your boat a couple slips down. Look forward to meeting you all.

Talked to the guys on the dock, they all spoke very highly of Arts Wired Electronics....here is the email address: art@artswired.com

I saw on his Facebook page he has a short video of the install he was doing on the Cantius...looks like he does a lot of marine installations.

Thank you my friend! Much appreciated!
