Chesepeake Bay navigation maps

I have always relied on my gps for all the information I need but I would like to buy a good set of maps for the Bay and patomac river where I boat.

What do you use and where do I get them.

West Marine stocks a variety of portfolios, booklets and fold-out charts, you can see them in the stores or order on-line. I keep a couple of products on-board for backup, one a pretty comprehensive Chesapeake chart atlas and a couple of waterproof fold-out charts for areas I frequent.

One recommendation would be the Maryland Cruising Guide http://www.amazon.com/Maryland-Crui...6722/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322833678&sr=8-1 The 2011-2012 edition should be out soon if it isn't already. Complete and comprehensive charts are held within a nice water proof envelope.
