Chesapeake Bay Still Pond

Has anyone boated in to Still Pond off the Chesapeake Bay? We heard that the mouth of the river had silted in and was now only passable by smaller boats

We didn't head up their last year but it is a great spot if you go around back by the Coast Guard Station and you need to know where to navigate.
Great for swimming and a bit more private.
Not sure about the channel though just take it slow.

There is too much water back in "Still Pond Creek" emptying and filling twice a day for that entrance to shoal too much. There will always be a channel there, you just need to find it. I typically sound it with a dinghy and a boat hook for the first time each year. Haven't been there yet this year.

I agree that it is unlikely but hate to take the trip with a few other boats to find that it is true. Would like to hear from someone that has navigated it this year, past the old Coast Guard Station
