I remember attending a Club Sea Ray event in Baltimore Harbor years ago, maybe the mid to late 2000s. I enjoyed the event and got to put faces to a lot of you at the time.

Are there any plans for another event? If not than any volunteers to put one together? Not me, I am not good at planning ;-)

Haven't seen this for quite a while. But great idea and would love to attend one of these. The question is where would this take place and when. Do we want a raft-up or marina based event?

Here is the link for the old one: http://clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/2013-chesapeake-bay-gathering.57162/

Marina based - my boat was on the hard for repairs, I was able to attend though since it was hosted at a marina, and some may not want to make a long boat trip. @Four Suns was there, I can't recall who else was.

I was not aware of the 2013 event. The event I referenced was in the 2005 to 2008 timeframe.

We were at the one that you're talking about, I figure it must have been around 2008 as we had just gotten the 380DA. Most of the folks that attended aren't active on the board anymore. I do remember Gary showing up by car later that day.

Yep, he came by car, so did my ex-wife and I. I recall a young couple with a 380DA with CATS, was that you?

Yes, that was us. We had our daughter that would have been about two at the time with us.
Ha, small world, kind of. I remember your daughter then. I LOVED your boat as well, had the maple interior if I recall correctly. And now I am buying one ;-) I recall you being from PA.

We could probably do this collectively and decide where and when then someone could take over. A couple of places come to mind, Zahnisers in Solomon's or Cambridge at the Hyatt. Anywhere more popular then that might be difficult to get space.

I agree Cambridge Hyatt would be easy to get the slips. A fun raft up spot would be Fairlee Creek.

The problem with a raft up is those folks who want to attend by car will not be able to.

Solomons would be great. Lots to do. Many marinas and restaurants to choose from. Also, for those unable to attend by water due to mechanical or other reasons, plenty of overnight accommodations. About the same travel for those folks that are up in the Potomac, as well as those in the Northern and Southern Chesapeake. My 2 cents. :)

I would love to do so, although I am pretty tied down with my 87 yo Mom with dementia now at home with us. Not sure how our season is going to unfold this year. We usually do weekends and overnights every other weekend. be it a raft up or marina based. I certainly know Solomons well and would be interested in teaming up with a member that has organized such an event. If anyone is interested, PM me and we can see what we can figure out. Does certainly sound like a good time.
