I'm in NJ, but I pay $22/ft for hull compound and wax, and topside wax. Including all compartments and engine bay on my 270SLX.

We pay about $21' in the DC area for wash and wax.

My marina quote this year was $1,100 for wash, compound, wax. Includes all hullsides, topsides, and all exposed fiberglass in the cockpit.

$14 per ft includes inside of cockpit cleaning compound hull and topsides and wax everything.Of course i cant get anyone to do it for what i pay myself, but my shoulders are starting to feel attached again.

I had a quote last year of approx. $20/ft for wash/wax and detail of hull, topsides, and cockpit fiberglass and vinyl. I found someone to do the hull and topsides for $12/ft. They did a good job, but I would have them use my products of choice next time. This was coming out to the private residence where I keep the boat, and waxing the boat on a lift, partially from a float where they couldn't reach from the pier/lift step.

I have similar setup to Jim - on lift, private residence in Crownsville.. I paid roughly 18/foot for 37 feet... I went with Prestige. They did great job.

Holy cow that's cheap. I wonder if they work in DC.

So sounds like $21 per foot is average and fair.
Anybody have any recommendation on a company in the Easton or St Michaels Md area?

Thanks

I just got a quote from local Skipper Buds to compound/wax a 420DA, exterior only...1,525 bucks :smt101, but on the other hand I don't want to do it, so :smt038

It cost's $0.00 per foot here. There is not one quality person in the area. Mechanics are reluctant to mention anybody but are quick to tell you who to stay away from. A decent detailer could make a killing here with a spring in and maintenance program.

Blitz, out of Middle River, quoted me $13/ft "up to the rub rail" and another $13 for everything above that.

As a follow up, for those who are interested, Prestige won't work in DC. I talked to them last week and they were friendly, DC is just outside of their service area.

I have Garcia doing the boat next week (if James Creek can get the water on) for about $18' water line to the top of the arch.

I've been using Prestige for 8 years and they do a great job. Only pay when you are completely satisfied . For our 450 the price has been very reasonable.
