cherry wheel center cover

Very nice, did you make it?

Yes I made that on today. There is a picture of another one that is a little bigger that I made yesterday in Mods/Cust. in the thread under Little things make a difference.I'm not sure if I like the bigger one or this one

I hate winter, but it does give me time to try solving problems. I have made several wheel centers out of teak and mahogany and inset cheap clock fit-ups in them. They last until they get saltwater spray on them then they get crappy looking with corrosion. Here is the last one I made using a domed watch crystal sealed into the wood with the clock mounted on an o-ring base right behind the crystal. Sorry I don't have a close-up:

That's a great idea looks real nice I figure any thing would look nicer then the plastic one.

I have my plastic one out right now and trying to decide what to do with it. i think I'm going to blast off all the chrome and spray it aluminum color paint. Also doing a spray-up plastidip on the black plastic on the wheel as that is almost as bad as the chrome piece.

Very nice as well Frank. I expected no less...
