i have one and a half sheets of cherry laminate that was produced by Linapal in Norway it is high gloss and used from 2006 through 2011 and is no longer available. please reply if interested

We do get requests for it. It is beautiful new but poorly suited to a marine environment. SR only used it for 5 years.

We would buy it but it comes down to where
@Thirty9sportfish lives. It has to be shipped flat and that is seriously expensive.

Why would it need to be shipped flat? Why can't you roll it and box it? Then when you recieve it lay it out on a flat surface and it will flatten out and lay flat in a couple of hours.

Good question.

Polycarbonate laminates can be rolled when their thickness is less than .030". We do it everyday.

This is not true for real wood laminates such as Lignapal which the OP posted about. The original SR custom ordered laminate embeded a real wood grain into lacquer substrate that ended up being almost .045" thick which makes rolling it a problem for the laminate. The potential for cracking the lacquer is too great.

If you look at SR boats made between 2004 to 2009 you will see very few radius bends in the cabinets. Any radius areas are real wood stained to match the laminate.

Lignapal was a beautiful finish when it was new but unfortunately did very poorly in the marine environment when the interior temperature was not controlled.
