Checking Fluid Levels w/on Trailer

Like it sits in the water, bow slightly elevated.

I don't know for sure but I would think pretty much level. They are basicly automotive engines and thats how you check those.

My 240 SD lives on a trailer so I understand your issue. I do all of my maintenance while on the trailer. I do have the advantage of keeping the boat & trailer inside in warehouse.

The trick to checking fluids on the trailer is to have the boat level as it sits in the water. In my case, I know the concrete warehouse floor is level - so I measure vertically floor to stern waterline then floor to bow waterline - I get those measurements the same and I know I'm equal to "floating" conditions.

If you can't find level ground, have someone hold a long level along the waterline in the center of the boat while you adjust the trailer tongue to "level" the boat.
