Guys: I looked in the manual, but couldn't find anything, on the digital display on my 2006 340DA, the thing reads CHECK PADDLE?

Any idea what this means before I call service dept.?

Thanks...

J.P.

i don't have the separate SC display screen, so I guess I would say the gauge that tells the port engine information...

In looking at the Smartcraft manual, there is a Paddle Sensor Pulse Factor adjustment (on page 2-22) that may need some type of "tweaking" but they really don't explain much in the manual.

It's probably best to call the service department regardless because the Smartcraft System has detected a fault and they may have to hook up their scan tool to determine the problem. Also. the manual says the alarm message will stay in the display window until you press the mode button. You can check page 2-10 of your Smartcraft manual for further information on how to do this.

I have most of my manuals downloaded in pdf format so I can look at them at home because I keep the regular ones at my boat. If you need to download the smartcraft manual, you can do it by right clicking on this link and selecting "save target as" http://www.mercurymarine.com/smartcraft_operation_manual
