Its now happened 3 times, all after the engine has run for 15 min or more. All the sudden I get a "check engine" with the single beep per sec (not the normal 2 beep per sec of IAC). The boat is a 2005 280 dancer with twin 4.3's. When the beep happens I check all the critical stuff, oil, temp . . . etc. Something also interesting, if I stop the engine all I have to do is turn it back on for the "check engine" and beep to return - the engine does not have to be running. I've been trying to locate a scan tool to find what codes the engine could be throwing out. But my question is what all faults cause the single beep per sec. One thing I did notice was the water pressure was about 25% lower on that engine. So maybe the there is a trigger point if the engine is a cetian temp it requires a certain water pressure - thus I get the beep??? My best guess. But I would like to know all the faults that could cause the single beep per sec or just anyone that has heard a single beep per sec alarm. - Thanks
