Cheapest way out would be to run the fuel pump return line back to the tank instead of back to the filter

Dumb question....when installing the adapter into the fuel fill hose, what tools can safely be used to cut the line? I have a dremel oscillating tool that would cut it easily or a maybe a hacksaw, but the hacksaw would be difficult to cut with how the fill hose is hanging. I ask about the dremel because it's electrical and near a gas tank. I assume vapors will release when the line is cut.

You could pull the hose off at the tank and stuff a rag in there while you work on the hose.

A guy on youtube cut a wire reinforced fuel fill hose with a razor knife and wire cutters. I'll probably go that route. I haven't ordered the adapter yet. Thinking all of it through before jumping into it, although it should be an easy mod.
