We're planning to cruise the Erie Canal from Buffalo to Waterford. What do I need to purchase to have complete charts on my Garmin 4208?

I have a Lowrance and not a Garmin, so I can not recommend the electronic charts for you - but I do highly recommend the following canal guide (http://www.nyscanals.gov/exvac/cguide/index.html) which contains a lot of information and is a very good hard copy source of information for the canal. I had the electronic charts and the canal guide with me on a trip two years ago and I referred to the canal guide much more then my electronic charts - there is lots of time to refer to the charts when you are only going 10mph for hours at a time

Not that it is directly applicable, the only GPS I have here at the house, a Garmin 498, does have built-in charts for those waterways. Of course I didn't scroll around everywhere, but it all seems to zoom down to a well detailed 300' level (200' scale says over-zoom).
