Changing upper gears on bravo 3

Need to regear a 2.0 to a 2.2. My local shop is backed up til end of season. Considering doing it myself. Been through service manual step by step. Doesn’t seem too bad. Anyone else done it have any tips, cautions, etc?

I have the same issue on my boat but need the 2.0:1 ratio I would consider a swap.
Drive is like new. I bought boat last year chased rpm difference like you pulled drive and it is a 2.2:1 on my starboard engine. previous owner or a mechanic put in wrong ratio. Please contact me if you can thanks.
