I did a quick search but didn't see anything. I just got an invite from my dealer to come see the 2017 460 Sundancer and 460 Fly.

SeaRay has replaced the 450 with this new model and there is no longer a 470. Base MSRP for the new 460 is $1,033,000. What's interesting is that SR announced the 460 as the 450 at the Miami boat show and then changed the name.

On another note, in just 12 months the Base MSRP for the 400 Sundancer has gone from $676k to $711k. About a 5% increase. This is MSRP, not what they're really selling for. I take it this has been a popular boat. My dealer sold both of theirs shortly after getting them.

So in the SR model lineup you now go from a $700k 400 to a million dollar 460. Again, just MSRP, not actual sale price, but that's still a fairly big gap.

Grandma used to say: "If you don't have anything nice to say--- come sit here next to me".

Coming Grandma!

I'll take 2! That is a pretty big ticket for that sized boat!

Exactly! Hard to believe buyers are expected to, and are paying so much for a boat that size. I get it if it's a Nordhaven or something but a weekend boat?

100% Agree.

I'm a big fan of OA and Nordhaven.
OA has a 2010 60' Trawler (not a sport yacht) listed for $1mil (asking)

Or a 65' 2008 OA for $1.2

And with those boats you're getting stabilizers, range, beam and comfort for the long haul.

Don't get me wrong, the new 460 and the 400 are nice boats, but I think both are overpriced. People must be buying them. My dealer sold both of their 400's, a 470, a 590 and a 450 this summer. From what I've heard the 400 is selling very well.

It's to make up for the arse whoopin' loss they are taking on the bare bones $112K SR 260 model.

I think they use that boat as a hook to get people into the Sundancer lineup. It finances easily since it's under $150k and it's a nice "affordable" monthly payment for many people.

Then you're stuck in a new 260 and when you go to move up another 4-5' you realize you'll need a couple hundred grand to make the move.
