Well, looks like I need to buy replacement chain, rope, and anchor, since I broke it off in our lake.....
(cracked the fiberglass beneath the anchor pulpit too. ouch!)
What size is it for a Lofran Progress 1?
Also, what weight anchor do you all recommend for a 02 340da?
Thanks all!

So...after a little research, looks like the chain should be 5/16". Any pointers on how long I should install? I typically anchor in 30-40' depth.

A scope of 5 to 1 would work out to a 200' rope of 1/2" with several feet of chain. I us a 6'chain because my windlass is for rope only but, if your windlass can handle chain then the more chain the better.

Don't forget having a second anchor with matching amount of rope is always a good idea

good luck

Yep, 5/16. If you can get 30-50 feet of chain that would be best. For my 330 the recommended size is 15 KG (33 lbs).

I've always heard a foot of chain per foot of boat. My 290 had a progress 1 and it was a pita at the chain/rope splice. I always wanted to go all chain.
