While replacing my house batteries, i noticed there was a electrical cord rolled up and tucked away in front of each engine. Does anyone know what these cords are? Can't seem to find anything online to help identify what they are? Any help would be appreciated?

I have oil pan heaters on my 3126's with electrical cords coming out. Have gotten out your flashlight and tried to follow them back to their origin ?

Me too. Always use them as they keep my engines warm and dry.

Looks like caterpillar has a typo in their specification sheet you linked. The GPH values for 'prop demand' on the 420hp engine are definitely wrong at 100, 14,00 and1200 RPM. Should be more like 4.5, 3.2 and 2.2 GPH for 1600, 1400, 1200 RPM respectively. I do not think the GPH should be increasing as RPM decreases.
