My '97 400 Sundancer has been leaking coolant into the bilge this past season. I've checked hoses, connections and the heat exchanger and see no apparent leaks. After each run, I am noticing the plastic coolant recovery tank is just about empty on the starboard engine. It appears that the coolant is leaking out the bottom seam in the tank. Upon examination of the tank, I see they are made of two pieces that are jointed together. It seems that after so many years, the seam has given way and with any kind of pressure, it forces the coolant out the bottom.
I'm trying to locate replacement overflow recovery tanks without much success. I've contact my local SeaRay dealer as well as my local CAT service center and neither carry the item nor are they able to recommend where to find these. I've done searches on the web and can't locate anything that looks similar or even close that might work as replacements.
Can anyone recommend a source for replacement coolant recovery tanks that are suitable for the CAT 3116? I don't know their exact capacity but they are approx 6"L x 7"H x 4"W
