Question for anyone who uses the cruisair carry on, I musta done something wrong with level of unit, does the condesation run off in a certain direction? port /starboard. I had a small drip on the fwd berth all night. Not a lot but enough to make a damp spot on blanket. When I removed the unit the next day and tilted it a bit, a lot of liquid came out, a little brown also.

I personally have never used one of these units but I have seen them used and there I believe there is supposed to be a drip line that comes out the front of the unit and hangs over the side of the boat to drain all the condensation out.

Also, on the unit I had there was a small round level indicator. But, anyway I was tilting it slightly toward the bow.

Thanks for the input, I don't have any hose attached. I did try to level it with bubble as best I could.

You need to get the hose as well as the condencation will aways be there. Just go to WM or even Home Depot and get proper sized clear hose.

Condensation will drip inside the boat. It is the "sweat" that runs off the outside of the unit and drips in the boat. Always happens on mine when it is really hot outside.

And I believe the clear tube ID is 3/8".

I had this unit running during stormy nights. When you have everything setup correctly (tube, level, cover and cover trim) there's not a drop will go in to the cabin.

The condensation that forms on the outside of the unit is the biggest concern in my case. It can get so humid down here that it forms very quickly. So an extra towel around the base of the unit is in order.

Just a note on the leveling. Keep in mind where you will be sleeping...(in the mid-cabin?) That is a minimum 400# shift in weight distribution compared to while standing on the deck leveling it.

Thanks again everyone. As I was installing unit last week I had the same thought about the weight distribution and where I was sleeping.
