Do the guys with the bigger boats carry their insurance declaration page with them on-board?

Just renewed with a new company so have a fresh set of docs...not sure if I want to keep a set of the declarations on board or not.

I do, plus I carry copies of the dec pages the home owners, windstorm and flood policies on my beach house in my briefcase when we travel. I am not so much worried about proving coverage, but the dec pages have policy numbers, dates of coverage and optional coverages on them. We have had a couple of storms where there was a mandatory evacuation from beach areas. The only way to get back to evacuated areas was to have a deed, property tax notice or proof of insurance on the beach property. The dec pages satisfies that, plus it speeds dealing with insurance adjustors after an asset sustains insurable damage since you have all the needed info with you.

I keep a copy in my Captain's Log 3-ring binder. I bring it back and forth in my overnight bag.

I keep an information sheet that I made up with a photocopy of my registration and all of my insurance information, along with other vital info, on it. It's laminated and kept with owners manuals on the boat.
