Ok guys....i took the cover off the boat today and have found a few issues i think....if you see in the pictures it looks like something (oil) has leaked out from the seal around the carbourator? I wouldnt think there would be anything to leak out around that but something sure did.

My thoughts are:

1.) It could be this anit rust spray i put on the engine but why does it seem to be coming only around the carb?

2.) I have noticed the drive oil level was very low...i dont see it on the ground and there isnt anything in the beilge?

So my question is what is leaking and why? If it isnt the drive oil, where in the world is that leaking to?

I changed the trim and limit switches last winter and i had to remove the drive so maybe the level was low and it is filling up.....with that being said i have filled it up a couple times (it has never been this low though) and it is still disapearing.....?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Did you wipe it with your finger and smell it?

You are talking the white stuff? Fuel leaking and affecting the paint? May need to remove the carb and do a rebuild.

yea its actually yellow ish....

I did smell it and no gas smell or anything really?

Is there a seal where the carb connects to the motor?

Also, do you know where my drive oil would be leaking?

shouldnt it smell like gas if thats what it was?

Also, can anyone tell me where my drive oil could be leaking to?

There is a gasket between carb and manifold. Is your carb monting bolts tight?
Your leak looks like watery gear oil from the pics. It has a strong pungent odor.
1 - Clean everything up real good.
2 - Remove engine cover.
3 - Have someone drive the boat while you observe for leaks.
4 - If that is indeed fuel be very careful and have a class B fire extinguisher readily available while troubleshooting.

i really dont think its fuel because it doesnt smell anything like gas. It really doesnt have any smell at all?

Im going to clean it up and take it out today to see if it leaks anywhere. I will post back what i find out.
