Hello all,
I have a 220 Signature Select that came stock with a Captains call exhaust. The problem that I have is that when it is at idle and I am not diverting thru the hull, the exhaust is still bypassing and going thru the hull.
The real problem is that when in the Marina and starting up and leaving, it is very loud to the point the fellow boaters are asking me to please turn off and go thru the leg.
Now, when I am clear of the marina, and start to give her some RPM, the exhaust does go to the leg hence reducing the sound.
What I think is that the baffles are loose and that they need the higher pressure to "seat" them.
So, you may have guessed that I am new to this as I just purchased the boat earlier this year, so my experience is not that much.
I am taking the boat out of the water to winterize and would like to know if this is normal for captains call. Or, should I have it looked at to reduce the sound when at idle (without captains call).
Thank you for everyones time and comments.
