Canvus Boat Covers

Does anyone know where of if you can purchase a boat cover for a 2005, 340 Sundancer? Our shrink wrapping costs are in the $1,300.00 range and I think a canvas cover would be more cost effective over time.

Any info would be most appreciated.

Not sure where your boating, but any reputable canvas shop can make a travel cover. Your going to spend the same as the shrink wrap probably but it will be reusable. I'd be worried about the cover rubbing during travel. I just had a 05 420 hauled from Detroit to St Louis no cover, no wrap except the helm. Had some road grime but cleaned up fine in a half day and that was certainly cheaper than shrink wrap or cover.

Stod ... we are boating in Northern Canada on the Great Slave Lake. We have a small business that does canvas work, but the size of my job is beyond their capabilities.

Travel/transport is not an issue as we live about two miles from the boat launch. Weather conditions like snow and cold are extreme (lake is still ice covered) and if your boat is stored outside, you need protection.

great lakes boat top company does most of the OEM work for sea ray and quite a few other mfg's. if they dont have it as orignal option on the model then its custom.

Just got a quote from Great Lakes for my 2006 Sea Ray 340. Excellent prices and I was able to find the original sail order number on my canvas. Made it very easy for Great Lakes to prepare my estimate. They know exactly what they built for the boat the first time. BTW, my canvas is still in excellent shape. I'm replacing because I live in Florida and the original owner had the boat done in black canvas. I'm replacing it with a neutral color for coolness.
