But why not just clean it while it't on the boat and save the time of removing it and taking to a laundry mat?
I don't think you can really ever get it as clean on the boat compared to a washing machine. It also makes it easier to apply the 303 when it's off the boat to ensure you get a good even coat. I did 3 coats on mine.
Just make sure you DON'T put it in the DRYER. It will shrink and you won't get it back on. Let it air dry.
