I have a 1996 330 Sundancer.

Has anyone with a “SERP” hull id (Florida boat) used Great Lakes Boat Top to replace their canvas? How was the fit? Did you have to get some mods done to fit correctly? Did you replace the pole hardware? And if so how/what was required to make it fit properly?
Will you share the experience and process about yours?
Also need to know anyone with a TN hull ID “SERT” boat and if you would send pics of some details like windshield, hull and arch?

There is a need by many boat owners who do not have TN built boats (where more detailed documentation was kept) who need to compare any differences with a TN built boat vs a FL boat (where docs were not kept, as well as others plant locations).

I know local made custom is always an option. I have aslo spoken with a very helpful Kevin C. at Cove Marine and encourage anyone to do so as well.

And Thank you for your response!

I have purchase both the cockpit cover and Bimini Top (both front and Rear) from Great lakes Boat Top. My boat has the SERP HIN as well… Palm Coast was an “overflow” production facility for the 330, I say this because my boat was delivered from Palm Coast to the original owner in Gross Point Mi, no salt water!, Manufacturing at Palm cost was specific to larger Searays.

The Cock Pit Cover… You have to install the snaps on the cockpit cover so the overall fit was not an issue, It is still in use today.

The Bimini Tops, Fit to the frame assembly both front and rear without issue. I am still have the original Rear Canvas and Front Isinglass (original), plus the solid piece of canvas that is interchangeable with the Front Isinglass. The Fit to the Rear Canvas is just ok. There are some issues with snapping the canvas in place in the area between the arch and transition to gunwale, it will reach all the way to the transom without issue. I purchase snap extensions (for lack of a better word) to address this issue. To this day I have not installed all 3 pieces of the front Isinglass across the front . I mainly use the one piece in bad weather and in port when traveling… I like the privacy. One day next summer I should lay the front isinglass in the sun and attempt to install.

I almost forgot the side isinglass. The side pieces attach to the Bimini and Arch without issue, the snap fit to the windshield is about 50%, both sides… It keeps the water out.

For the most part I am a fair weather boater. I always use the cockpit cover when the boat is not in use, Just about all 330s I see on the lake have the complete “camper” set up at port. Like I had mentioned I only use the complete canvas for foul weather when traveling and in port when traveling, storms, rain, night, etc...

Back when purchase Great Lakes Canvas it was a substantial cost save over using a local canvas shop. Based on how I use the boat today it is fine. If I was planning in keeping the camper top up 100% of the time I would look to a local shop to make the fit perfect. If you replace with Great Lakes and there are fit issue it may be difficult to get the local guys out to fix…
