Ok, we just bought replacement canvas from Great Lakes. Looks great but having lots of difficulty installing it. Trouble with the sunshade right behind the arch. Does anyone know any special tricks that might help? 1998 310 Sundancer.

I replaced the bimini and sunshade on a friends 30' dancer last year and am about to install a new bimini and sunshade on my 29' dancer. How far have you gotten with the installation, have you installed the snaps ? What type of problem are you having ?

We installed the bimini in the channel on the front of the radar arch with no problems, but when we tried to slide the sunshade on the back of the arch, it was not "pretty". We have not even gotten to the snaps yet! We had lots of issues with the fabric coming out of the corners of the channel and getting the zippers to zip the last 5 inches or so. :smt021

We did not order new channel but are doing so before going forward.
We finally broke down and called to have it installed by a "professional" who will charge for labor only - the estimate was for 2-3 hours installing the sunshade and all the snaps. I'm thinking 3-4 hours!
Thanks.

Be on the boat when they install it for you. Watch and learn the trick to it. Since you contracted with them you should let them do the work. The back track gives me trouble also, I just used some teflon ointment(zipper lube) applied with a q-tip. I leave that piece on the boat.
