Canvas color on 1997 330 DA

I need to purchase a new canvas for our 1997 330. The tweed color canvas blew apart in a big storm we had this past fall.

I would like to change to a blue color canvas but my wife is concerned it won't match. I know blue was offered that year but I'm not sure that the gold beading around the topsides upholstery would have been a different color if a blue canvas was specified.

Anyone know if this was the case or is the gold accent strip the same for all color schemes?

Buy the color you like, forget the theme. I believe the gold piping is part of the black and gold theme, your boot stripe should be black and gold.

I have a new linen tweed top and my boot stripe is blue and black, who cares I like the tan. I do however have the blue top as well just for a change if wanted.

The blue canvas option that year (same as mine) was Sunbrella's Royal Blue Tweed.

Get the color that you like.
Gold piping on the seats will look good with any color canvas.

My 97 330SD had the green canvas and last year I replaced it with Tan. I LOVE IT!!!! we have gold piping but the strips on the boat are Green, black and gold. I have been wanting to replace the strips with the gold and black theme but the more I look at it the more I like the green/black/gold strips so I think I will just keep it the way it is.

I think that the gold piping with go with any color you choise BUT I would recommend staying with the tan.

Thanks Guys. Great Lakes Co are a very nice group of people Very helpfull. They sent me some samples of the colors. I'll be making my decision this weekend on the color!

Was putting on the snaps difficult? Did you buy a special commercial crimper?
