Our mooring cover has slits on the sides for the bimini frame so that we do not have to take it down when we put the mooring cover and leave the boat for the night. Unfortunately, it does not have slits for the camper top frame and as a result, we have to take down the camper top and store it every time we put on the mooring cover.

I would really appreciate any recommendations for a good canvas shop in Fairfield County, CT or an adjacent county that can modify our mooring cover to add these slits for the camper top frame.

Thanks in advance.

I have had good success with Tailorite in Stratford and with Hathaway, Reiser & Raymond in Stamford.

I like Tailorite because they are close to my boat. I like HR&R because I remember my dad taking me there as a kid 40+ years ago. I'll bet Mark's guy is less expensive than both of mine.

My marina uses Royal all the time. Even though he is in Norwalk, he is quick and very neat. Prices are very good also, and yes, cheaper than Tailorite.

I asked about a new top for mine this year, he said it was fine and would last a few more years with the same care. WHY would someone walk away from business and be honest... Leon is a great guy!

I will agree with Leon at Royal being a good choice. I would not call him fast, but very reliable and will do good work, sometimes you may have to give him a reminder call so he doesn't forget you...
