Looking at Amberjack 290

boatless
Just bought a 2005 amberjack 270. Can't get cockpit speakers to work There is a separate amp in storage hold of cockpit

anyone know how to turn the amp on?

There should be a switch, mine is adjacent to the cabin door. You should also have a 12v circuit breaker. The amp is most likely behind the "couch" in the cabin.

My amp is in storage under cockpit floor Breaker for stereo is on. There is a ac and D.C. Switch by cabin door, but I believe that controls lights

looking for amp switch to turn on

Some Sea Rays's used a common head unit for the cabin and the cockpit. If so, check to see if the Fader was used to fade between the cabin & cockpit.

If it's the clarion deck that came with the boat there is a setting to turn amp on within the deck menu. It used to drive me crazy trying to find it every year.

It is the one that came with Boat. I can't figure out how to turn the amp on
its not the fader.
Help!

Down load the manual from clarion. If I remember correctly it was something like "subwoofer out" or something like that. I believe they set the amps input feed using the sub pre amp out for the cockpit speakers (e.g., RCA jacks red/white). Not 100% sure as it's been about 4 years since I have had to do this.
