Well I just got back from a great trip to Las Vegas and while I was there, decided to go to the Grand Canyon and see the Skywalk ........and the picture below says it all. And yes that is me......Only 2 1/2 " of glass between me and 4000 ft to the Grand Canyon floor......Thought I would be scared, but hey you only live once and sometimes you just go for it!!!! The question is, could you do this?

Just looking at that shot makes me woozy. Not sure I could get past the booties.

I saw a documentary on that thing being built. Very cool stuff. I have a slight fear of heights but if I have a rail to touch Im ok.

I will go on the walk. The wife will wait in the car I'm sure.

I'm not sure if I could do that or not. I went to the Royal Gorge in CO and had to crawl on my belly to get to the edge. Definite fear of heights on my part. That, coupled with a vertigo problem and I could just imagine myself getting woozy and falling over the edge.

The next time we go to our place in Surprise, AZ we're planning a trip to the Grand Canyon. Time will tell if I'm able to do that.

I bungee jumped years ago from 185' with the ropes attached to my ankles. If I could do that I could definately walk on glass.

Awesome! Here I am in Chicago a few years ago....Willis Tower (Sears).....the glass box.....it's a bit UN-nerving.

Have you ever been to the top of the Arch in St Louis on a windy day? You would swear it was going to topple over any minute.

Yep! In my younger days I was a skydiver... no problem with the glass bottom stuff...

I could do it although, there may be a little brown spot on the glass when I get up!

When it comes to heights, YUP! It wasn't always this way though. As a kid I used to climb out on the roof of my house and shimmy up to the peak of the tudor and just hang out and watch the "hood". Also used to jump out of BIG trees on homemade rope swings all the time. Not anymore.

Was at the top of the arch yesterday. Anyone ride all 3 rides at the top of the Stratosphere in Vegas!

I would definately do it - It's on my bucket list. I heard that is way out off the beaten path, Is that correct?

Yes off of the main highway is a road that leads into an Indian reservation, that road starts out paved then turns to a rough dirt road then back to pavement....total distance from main road is about 20 miles I would guess. You can check on Google maps. Because its an Indian reservation there are not laws that they must have fences or railings to keep you away from the edge of the canyon. I saw people sitting on the edge with their feet dangling, with a drop of 4000 ft. Now that is nuts!!!

I could do it no trouble, not too sure about the Captain though he sat in the middle on a seat while I walked all the way around the glass floor of the London Eye which is pretty high up and moving as well .......great views of London though.
