Can the plane take off?

It's only January 11!!! We have much winter ahead of us yet.

In the variant I posted there is no need for thrust from the engines to make the plane take off...
You would still need engine thrust since the plane would decelerate relative to air speed once off the ground (in the case that the wheels were able to keep the plane in place relative to the ground while on the treadmill due to the condition of the treadmill matching the wheelspeed...which itself is not a sound extrapolation of the condition!).

What's this bowling ball bs all about

It's winter...here's a picture of some accordion parts. Will it ever play again?

Assembled, it should look like this.

Roll out the barrel!

Quite right....the engines would be needed to fly but not take off. ha.

I hope we come back to this thread every winter...

Think about this. They tow a glider up with another plane. No thust, just air speed. PROBLEM SOLVED. You could tow it without wheels with a jet ,as long as there is air speed it can get lift

Ah...you are correct! The question was indeed take off, not fly.

There is thrust, via the tow. Thrust is just a force, as is the tow line.

How we put @Pirate Lady in charge of responses to this thread? He has done such a great job on the Factory Full of Sea Ray parts…….

Yes but the wings need air passing by fo lift. Game over

I should start a new thread about this accordion, everyone has great interest in them, and the main character is a boater to boot. She started out a little rough....

Pearl keys - very nice! It’s my understanding there’s bees wax on the keys inside?

@Woody
You can name the thread something like;
“Not another accordion thread” or “Show us your accordions!” or “Accordion forum, due to popular demand”

Think of it this way if the jet plane was chained to a concrete wall it can have all the thrust it wants but if it doesn't move it ain't taken off comprende. Now tell me about the bowling ball and the feather I want to hear this one
