can someone tell me the size and year of this boat?

An acquaintance is towing home from Florida as we speak. He is using a 1/2 ton truck and I have some concerns when he reaches this hills of northern Tennessee. Trying to get the word to him that stopping could be a big issue.

From the picture it looks like a lot of boat for a 1/2 ton pick up.

If he has good working trailer brakes, stopping should not be an issue.
