The admiral and I have been looking at several boats that have been on the hard for 3+ years and i have been thinking about what could happen to the hull in that time being on jacks and blocks
I have had boats with a hook in the hull from sitting on a trailer for years .....can this happen to big 33+ foot boats also ??

If there are at least 4 sets of blocks along the bottom of a well built 33' boat then you should be fine. 3 sets would be marginal but likely still no problem after 3 years. The jack stands are really there for balance and don't hold much weight. The blocks along the keel are for the weight. We had a 33' Cruisers Inc in our yard that was placed there by the hauling company that had 3 sets of blocks. When we went to move the boat we noticed the forward block had pushed in the keel. So if you are buying a lesser quality boat then it could be an issue.

so this might not be one to pursue since it's probably been this way for 3+ years ??

I wouldn't shy away from that just because it's been sitting, Jim. From just that picture, it looks pretty straight. Although you can't go wrong with more blocking, that looks to be blocked and supported well. Besides, from the work I've seen you do on your 600, I'm betting that you have a pretty good eye for these things. It's also very likely that any small "concave" area will work it's way straight again once it's in the water. Fiberglass is more flexible than most think.

The boat appears to be well blocked and supported. I would worry more about the mechanical systems if they have sat for 3 years. Fuel, batteries, water, generator, sea water pumps, etc. Also the bottom paint will be useless after sitting that long. Good luck and buy it if it's a good enough deal.

Support looks OK. Wonder how well things were decommissioned when it was stored. Properly pickled, engines should be good to go with a proper start up.

Jim the boat looks well Supported to me. Mine sits on the keel and is supported in 4 places along the hull. Best of luck my friend....

found out the deck is "a little soft in spots"
can't get a straight answer as to how soft or how big the spots
and not driving to wisconsin to find out.
the guy isn't giving out many of the answers I need to procede so I am done with it for now
