Hey all,
I am looking to replace a 1995 5.7 reverse rotation motor. I've just went thru this painful process and the new motor crapped out as well. (Bad main bearing in less than 10 hours) Warranty is crucial, I want someone who will stand behind their product.
Can anyone out there recommend a reputable source for a reman'd longblock? or a source for a new marine longblock for a reverse rotation application? I am already out several grand and don't want to have to do this again...
I've been burned by Rapido and have been told to stay away from Jasper. Is there a good rebuilder out there? According to three different mechanics I've talked to, they won't use anything but a new Merc motor.
Thanks! Dan
