Can Anyone Help Identify This Boat?

Got a call the other day from someone who wants us to do a complete interior restoration of his boat. He said it was a 1975. It's a 20 ft "run about" type Searay....no cuddy. Awesome condition but the interior needs to be redone.

These are the numbers on the back of the boat:

SER1M 8990977 - 2001 0076 - 8

I've e-mailed Searay and asked them to help but have not received a reply.

Anyone have any idea exactly what year and model this boat might be?

Looks like it's a 77 not a 75 and i don't recognize the 1 in between the R and the M

On pre-1984 boats, the date in the 12 digit number is the date of model certification, not the date of manufacture. I'm with Mitch on this one except that all we know is that the boat model was certified in 1977 so the boat can't be a 1975 and must be a 1977 or later with a date of manufacture after about 8/1976.

Could this be a 76/77 amber jack? Not sure of the serial designation for a AJ. Maybe a custom AJ build? Maybe not since AJ's are center mount cockpit.

Sea Ray site says in 1997 the only 20' boat with no cabin should be SRV 200.

don't have any pics.....not my boat. it's sitting in the owner's yard 45 minutes from here.

had Searay responded to my e-mail...I wouldn't be asking here.

judging by a picture I found in another thread I believe it might be an SRV 200...year yet to be determined for sure but going by those serial numbers it appears to be perhaps a 76 or 77.....not a 75 as the owner was led to believe.
