Camper Top Curiosity

I think whether you leave it up or down depends on your location.

Here in our area, virtually no one leaves their camper canvas up during the summer. It's just too darn hot here and the hassle of putting it up and taking it down doesn't make a lot of sense. But where you live in Ontario, you will probably be more inclined to leave it up all the time. We start to get cooler weather around October or Novemeber and then everyone puts up the camper canvas and leaves it up until March or so the next spring.

yep, I leave my camper deployed just like you have in your pic during the summer. No side zips or anything of that nature. Spring and fall I usually roll up the back canopy. In july and August I have it deployed to keep some shade. Hot as hell here in GA in July and August.

Mine has been up all season. I take the sides off while underway, but I leave the top up all of the time. I'm in the sun a lot, don't need to fry 24/7 if I can help it.

We leave ours up year-round.

There are only two seasons in the Puget Sound....wet and sunny. The first one lasts about 9 months, the second perhaps 3. The canvas extends our boating season in the former and makes hanging in the rear cockpit bearable in the later. :)

Before we took delivery of our 08 330 in February, our dealer had Puget Sound Canvas build a custom camper back for us. I didn't care for it at first, I thought it was too much clear and not enough canvas, but I've really come to like the design. And their Rainier glass is clearer and more pliable than what Sea Ray's using from the factory.
