Anyone replace their entire camper package lately? I just had my camper canvas looked at and they suggest I replace everything. The old has just too many repairs and the windows need to be replaced for sure. I have a 270 sundanacer and with all new canvas with new zip out windows, it cam to $3,800.00

They did give me the 40 gauge windows. What do you think?

I think that sounds a little bit high.. We did a full canvas including custom camper top last year in Traverse City, one quote was very low at $2,200.00, the other was $2,800..

That sounds like a retail canvas that is being marked up another ~40 percent by say MarineMax or someone else. I agree, a buddy had is 280 replaced for just under $3000 last season. Also, in our area we have a marine canvas guy that does all repairs for us locally, check for one in your area, and keep looking....

Your a couple of days late on this but I just ordered a full replacement, Bimini, side curtains, full Camper, etc from Great Lakes for just under $1400. They had a 20% off sale in March but I bet you could talk them into extending it a few days. I have a 97' 270 so I would expect the costs to be about the same. In case you don't know, Great Lakes makes all of the original OEM canvas for Sea Ray.

I agree.

Great lakes has the pattern. It will come with the snaps uninstalled.

Just get a cheap snap tool and put in on yourself.

That sound high ,mine is going in this week if my tow permit shows its face .total cost of full camper replacement $2100 .thats at a canvas shop in linwood Mi

Define too many repairs? They can't resew where it needs to be done? Replacing the windows is fairly common. I still have my original bimini and slantback? I'm sure they weren't used much before we owned it, but I see NO need replacing it right now. It's in good shape, but I did have sections resewn because the thread was popping when I put it up each week. I think it cost about $250 resew all the seams on the whole thing.

That is where I started, Great lakes does not have the replcement for the 1999 270 I had a friend order one from their a year ago so I sent the all the information. Fiqures it would be my year

Thanks for the info, I'm going to see what I can do on the cost. This is a local compnay and the Crystal Clear 20/20 .40 is 620.00 Everything else looks inline. The sewing and fabrication was what added it quickly. 1200.00 for sewing and 1400. for fabrication. They do most of the work in our marina and they do really nice work. Just thought it would come in around 25-3,000.

I use Great lakes as well and replaced portions at a time. Started with the bimini and Camper top first. This year will be the camper sides and back.

Can't fiqure how how they can have the 1998 and the 1996 but not the 1999. I just sent them another email with vin #'s just to double check and received the same response. They do not have the 1999 pattern available.

That's odd because they have a listing for the 99 270 and 270SE.

I don't know enough about the 99 but I bet the 98 canvas would fit it.

I had the sun shades replaced last year with the rubberized sunbrella, dont remember what its called. Also did the eiseglass with heavy guage and u zippers so I can roll them up, as well as side curtains. Total was 2500, custom made. New camper would have been another 1500 , but mine was in good shape and just had a couple small repairs. I think my beam is a little bigger than yours but, the #'s seem close.....

pgplay,

If your boat was manufactured in Phoenix (check to see if the HIN starts with SERA), then the original supplier was more than likely Westland. You can check your canvas as well. Several boats in the '99-'01 era were produced in Phoenix, including my 230. Once the plant was closed production moved to one of the TN plants. Unfortunately the patterns for the canvas were not archived. Your comments make sense regarding the '98 and '99 models being identical. The same applies to the '01 and '02 230 BR and their repsonse is same as you recieved. If you have Westland covers, you can try their number. However, I believe Westland and Great Lakes merged years ago.

Good Luck.
