I have a 2001 260DA and on the bottom of the 3 front isinglass canvas windows,is a rubber extrusion, that goes into a channel on top of the glass windows, to stop rain water from coming up inside while driving. I want to replace the rubber piece with snaps and snap the windows into the track. I'm told not to drill into the channel to put screws in to accept the snaps, as this could crack the windows. Has anyone found something to alleviate the use of the rubber piece, which I have to go outside, to put in the channel. I've heard of Vadney clips, but don't think they would fit into the channel. I would really appreciate it, if someone who has overcome this problem, could let me know their solution, short of replacing the windows. Thanks in advance

Boat boy,

The vadney clips are available through your dealer through Taylor made products. There are a number of threads about this subject. I think the clips fit in certain years and don't fit in other years. They are reasonably priced, pack o' 10 was about 2 bucks, I think. As far as I know all you can do is try them. I'll try to find you the link. Good luck.

Click on "hatches and windshield acc", then click on "windshield male snap adaptor" at the bottom right. TM wouldn't sell them directly to me and told me I had to order them through the local dealer. I'm waiting for the "local dealer" to fill a few of my orders from a month ago before I ask them for anything else. Let me know if this helps or even works for you.
