Calling all 360 DA owners

Chris, welcome aboard! post some pics of your 360 when you get a chance, we would like to see her!

Hi, I am looking at 360s and have a few questions-

1) Apparently the rear table top stores under the rear seat. Where is the post for the table stored?
2) I have heard, but never seen, that under the engine hatch there is another piece that will connect the 2 back seats (facing each other) to make a full lounge-like sun platform. I've never seen a photo of it, even on the Sea Ray website. Definitely desirable for the sun goddess, but would like to verify. (I do like the wrap-around seating on the 340) Is this true? A mid section with cusions is stored under the engine hatch?

If anyone would like to spend some time talking about their 360 with me, please PM. The more information I have about this boat before I buy, the better. I am in the Tampa area.

Thanks!

Hi, I am looking at 360s and have a few questions-

A mid section with cusions is stored under the engine hatch? Yes, the section stored under the ER hatch is the same size as the table stored under the aft seat, and when set together between the aft facing seat and the aft bench, they form the sunpad base, and there are two cushion sections that go on top. They are somewhere below in the cabin or in the ER, or as in my case, in the attic above the garage because I never use them  so before you buy, make sure you are getting everything from the seller.
You can also set one piece along the starboard side for the u shaped seating configuration.

No need to PM, ask right here, boaters love to talk about their boats, and others may want to chime in. Welcome to CSR and happy shopping

Wannaboat, Mark is the right guy if you have questions in regards to your 360. We love ours. My wife and two kids are all tall, and we often do overnights and love the headroom and space. In the summer I can have 6 to 8 teenangers on it, and we have a blast. I mostly anchor, and not much cruising, but the 8.1 is a nice engine for the boat.

Thanks for the responses. A few more questions:

1) Does anyone have a public link with photos of the boat? The more the better!
2) While I have read the fuel consumption numbers on boattest, anyone want to share what they actually experience? Is it more along .7mpg, or .9mpg? Just curious...
3) I would potentially be interested in adding autopilot. Has anyone here done it? (components, where to buy, level of difficulty, etc)

Thanks!

I have not added auto pilot, previous boats didn't have it, this one came with it, but I can see why you want it....I doubt I will own another without it.

This is where we run it at cruise, call it .8 mpg

Plenty of head room at the helm, I'm almost 6 foot, not including the hat :)

Engine room, pretty good access to everything that needs getting to

The RIB on the platform in my signature pic weighs in at about 200 lbs with motor, fuel can, and safety gear, it handles it effortlessly.
Hope these help
Take care

Mark...great pics. What are you doing in the last pic? How do you navigate in the bilge and gain access to your impeller on your generator?

Hey Jeff,
I was putting new exhaust manifolds on, boat was from CT, originals were aluminum, not good in salt water. Now it has cast that have always been in fresh...I'm good to go
For the gen impeller, I lay across the top of the starboard engine, I can get in there pretty easily actually.
Hope you are enjoying the season.

Mark...we are having a great season....and loving the 360DA. I hope you are too. Do you have the Raynav 300 on your 360DA? Or does your chart plotter feed the info on your Smartcraft system? The previous owner of my boat pulled out the Raynav 300 and replaced it with a Lowrance chatplotter, but in doing so, I don't have much info on my Nav-fuel Icon on the Smartcraft. I have all of the other info on the Smartcraft, which I really like...except the water temperature is not accurate.

Jeff, yes, enjoying. Just got back from 10 days out, it was very nice
My RL70CRC feeds to the smartcraft......no problems, so I don't touch 'em
I guess I'm just not much of an electronics upgrade guy, so I can't help much there.
take care

Hi Mark, what kind of davits you have for your dinghy ? Would you have some pictures of it ?

Thanks,
Hugo

The previous owner of my boat changed the canvas color to black. He also made a new sunpad for the bow. I nearly lost the sunpad when the wind kicked up over the weekend. Does anyone have any pics of their sunpad and how it is attached to the the front sunpad rails? I am thinking I may need to have some additonal straps added to ensure it remains secure. I currently had 3 snaps across the the bottom of the pad(snaps down to the deck), and 2 straps on each side of the pad that snap around the sunpad rails. Does anyone know what the factory set up is for attaching the sunpad?

Has anyone tried mounting a flag to the stainless steel bar that is directly behind the rear bench seat (above the transom locker)? I have tried two different mounting systems and have been disappointed each time. It appears that the bar is not completly round and therefore does not allow for a tight connection between the mount and the bar. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello Folks - looking to purchase 360DA - 2004 currently in the sights.
Can this group provide any recommendations for someone looking to move into this model - what works, what doesn't, what to look for in this model accomodation wise?
Thanks!

Hello - currently researching a purchase of a 2004 360DA. Currently have a Formula 34PC and really like the 360. How happy is everyone with their boats? We're on Lake Erie, so pretty interested in how they handle rough weather - we have a LOT of it. I see the model is out of production, and seems like a small production run boat. How are your boats holding up? All input appreciated. Thanks.

I'm interested in knowing how many 360 DA owners are on CSR, in case I want to direct questions your way using PMs. I am aware of Two Peas, PMvdb395DA (Peter), My3Sons and BOZ. Any others? Is there enough of us for an "official 360 thread"?

Scott,
We have been very happy with our boat, we have had it 4 years and if you go back through this thread, you will see quite a bit of it.
We have had it all over Lake Erie, and it has performed well. This years trip to the north shore was plenty windy, and we had spent 3 days in port and vacation time was burning, so we did the run from Port Stanley ON to Erie PA in 5's and 6's and it did fine. If the weather is good this weekend, a few of us from our dock are going to Erie, and that will put over 1000 miles on the trip log this year. We use our boat a lot, and it has been fairly trouble free, Knock on wood.
Good luck with your search.
