Calling all 360 DA owners

There was a Sea Ray Navigator before it was replaced with the E-80. Marine Max installed it for me. They did not have to modify the hole.
Sorry for the delayed reply, been out on the water.

Mark...I was reviewing your canvas post....did you replace your eisenglass?

I have a couple of questions. I pulled the shelf out, as indicated in Marks pics from Sea Ray, and indeed, the coax does run down that side. According to the owners manual, there should be a junction box, somewhere in that area, where the coax comes down the arch from the Glomax and ties in with the coax from the cable input. . Has anyone located that junction box?

Has anyone pulled off the padded vinyl on the ports side over the wet bar area? Does if just pop off? How do you get is started? I am wondering if the junction box is behind that padded vinyl area.

Has anyone drilled in the wet bar area? It seems to be fairly thick...maybe 3/4 to 1 inch. I have ordered one of the Sea Ray cockpit TV mounts and plan to put it just aft of the sink.

Last (for now) does the drain for the hot water heater drain into the bilge or does it drain overboard?

Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the reply Billfletcher. I only have 169 hrs so i hope to get at least another season out of mine. I have also attached some photos of my recent upgrades including installation of a new 19" flat screen TV and a new E-80 on the dash.

Your TV looks great. How did you mount it?

Hi Jeff, Yes, with 40 mil.

Last (for now) does the drain for the hot water heater drain into the bilge or does it drain overboard?

The hot water tank drains into the bilge through a fitting in the bulkhead wall, just ahead of the forward bilge pump. The pressure relief valve drains through a line that runs to a through hull fitting and exits on the port side next to the wet bar sink discharge.

I'm not sure about your other questions, I haven't ventured into that area yet.
Take care

There is no access behind the port vinyl. The best access is behind the refrigerator or the storage just aft of the sink. I believe the connection you are looking for is right beneath the radar arch. The shelves can be removed to access the bottom of the radar arch. I didn't find enough space to mount the tv on top of the sink, so I did this.....

I took off of work early last Wednesday and went down to work on the boat. I took a friend with me, who has a vast tool collection. We cut holes for a rod holder, and the cockpit TV. I ordered the stainless mount from Sea Ray. I mounted a 22" Samsung LED TV. I think it turned out pretty good. I have a little "fine tuning" to finish up on the cables.

Does anyone know where the stereo amp is located? What are the specs on the factory amp?

Hi Jeff,
The amp is behind the 12 volt panel. remove the screws and the panel swings open on a hinge. Easy.
The amp is mounted on the wall.
Have a flash light or other aux. lighting, it's a little dark in there.
Sorry, I don't know the specs on the amp.
Take care

Happy summer 360 DA owners!! it took a long time to get here!!! Has anyone needed to replace the shower sump pump and float switch? I have an 04 and replaced them both last year and it seems again they are acting up. I admit it may be my bad, or a poor job!

Happy summer to you too!
Have not replaced my shower pump or switch, but have cleaned my share over the years.
If by acting up, you mean switch hanging up because of "gunk" in the sump, I might have a suggestion which may work.
Try using shower gel when on the boat for showering, bar soap leaves a build up behind in the box. I know shower gel sucks, but cleaning that box and screen sucks worse.
Also, I squirt a little Raritan CP in the drain on Sunday afternoons before leaving the boat for the week. Then chase it with a little water, just enough to know that the CP made it to the box, but not enough to kick the float switch on. Let the CP set in there and do it's thing. (we don't leave our A/C on during the week, so the condensate won't trigger the pump, but it probably wouldn't matter anyway). I haven't cleaned the sump except for the "end of the season" cleaning, in a long time.
It's worth a try.
Good luck

Welcome back!

A few months ago I replaced both. They were the originals. Caught a sale at West M. Same float switch but went with a 360 gph bilge pump (just pumping out the area of a shoe box!). I used heat shrink over the butt connectors. Not much room to work, but it's a boat.

Good luck!

Dennis

Thanks for the quick responses. Thanks for the suggestions. I clean out the sump at least twice a season, so the gunk is not a huge issue. I do keep my AC on a high temp (75) setting when I leave the boat just to keep the humdity out. I think I am going to replace the switch again it seems to be getting stuck.

I cleaned out that sump a few weeks ago. The PO had probably never done this before. Many years of gunk and skin oils. Took quite a bit of bleach to get the smell to disappear. I figured I should bleach the potable water tank next because he probably ignored that also. We have had our 360 now for 4 months and love it. We rarely miss a weekend and usually spend both nights on board. I am sold on sea rays.

Thanks Mark!!

I too have put a little CP or bilge cleaner down the shower drain the help fight scum. I started doing that when I had the 300DA, and have tried to continue the practice on this boat.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions, I will spend some cash at WM at make it my weekend project. Have a good sunny warm weekend, BTW not sure any of those will the case for Chicago on Saturday, maybe Sunday!

Anyone ever do any pulling of tubes with kids on top of them with your 360? My kids have been after me to do this. I know WM has these inflatables and tow lines. Can you get by with just one, single line, tied to a stern cleat? With just one line tied off, will the tube stay behind the boat, or does it arc back and forth? Thanks.

First it turned out to be the float switch was bad, and only 1 year old?

I have towed kids on a float, the big donut kind, I made a bridle from both aft cleats and then a center loop and connected the tow line to that. This kept the float in the center of the wake and the kids had a ball. I never went to fast just fast enough for the kids to feel some bumps, maybe 15-20 mph.

Hi! I just found this thread..this is great. We purshased our 360 DA (2005) four years ago already (in 2008). Boating on lake Champlain, upstate NY but we live in Canada (Montreal).

Anyone of you have a condensation problem with the cabin freezer ? Mind just leak water into the drawer under the freezer. Any suggestions how to fix this ?

Thanks,
Hugo
