Does anyone know where to get a good boat trailer in the San Francisco area?
I’m looking for a tandem aluminum trailer capable of carrying a 260 Sundancer that has a dry weight of 6200 lbs.
I want Kodiak disk brakes and acculube hubs on it.

It seems all the trailer manufacturers are in Florida.

Thanks for any help.

My Zieman trailer was made in Woodland, CA. (near Sacto.)

I do not know if they sell direct; I bought mine at a SR dealer when I bought a consignment boat. They didn't mark up the trailer.

TrailRite is in Santa Ana. EZ Loader is in N Sacto on the old McClellan AFB. There is a mfgr in Sacto down on Florin Perkins, I thought it was Zieman but I might have the name wrong...

Thanks for all the feed back guys.
After emailing and talking to allot of trailer manufactures I can to the conclusion that they sure are proud of their trailers in California.
The price for a trailer in California is any where from 1.5 to 2 times what a trailer in Florida costs. They also all want to use ufp brakes and axles there. I want Kodiak brakes.
So after all the research I've done I have narrowed it down to two manufactures in Florida, one who ships mulitple trailers stacked on top of the other and charges $800 for shipping and I have posted the other on Uship and it looks like I should be able to ship it for about $1300. Still allot cheaper then one built in California and I get what I want.
The two in Florida that I have it narrowed down to are TNT trailers and realXtrailers. Any comments good or bad on either of these two?

Not trying to send your thread to the “Holding Tank”, but I can’t imagine anyone being surprised “That's a handy little piece of information, right there” (Ron White). :smt043 What with all the taxes and regulations I’m actually surprised they even manufacturer trailers out there at all. :smt021

I have Kodiak brakes and they are great, good choice. Also consider elect-drolic controller that is a fantastic feature giving the driver far more control of the braking. Be cautious of a trailer so light it will float when trying to load. So check those weights. Your GVWR on the trailer should be in the 10,000lbs range for this boat in my opinion to have a bigger safety margin and strong support.

Good luck, MM

I second the electric/hydraulic braking!

Electric over hydraulic is a must for any large trailer in my opinion. I put it and kodiak brakes on my present trailer and would not go back to surge brakes again.

The GVWR of the trailer I'll be getting is 10,600 and the trailer weights 1300 lbs.
And I had the same thoughts as you Mike about why the trailers in CA were more expensive :). But thats where the boat I might be buying is. I go down there next weekend to sea trial it.
