Anyone interested in going to Caladesi Island in April/May at all? If so you are welcome to join us. We are going Thurs April 30th. for 4 nights. Thought it was a really neat park to stay at the last time we met several CSR members there but thought that outside of hurricane season and when it's a bit cooler may just be a better time time to go. Let me know if you're interested. We can have a group BBQ on Sat evening if anyone's interested. I'll bring some sausage rolls:)

Yum. I think we all remember those Sausage rolls! Too far out for me to commit. Possibly selling the SR and going back to outboards. Something like a 32 or 36 Intrepid or 35 Marlago. Car motors that run in salt water is not a good combination. But, if we decide to keep her for another year we may be up for it.

I think you were a YC member if I remember correctly. Just a hop skip and jump form Caladesi Island is Carlouel YC. You need to stop by if you haven't been. 2 pools with the dock right behind them. A private, gated boardwalk to the beach with a bar and cabana's. A really good place.

Yes, we are members of Bird Key, so expect they have reciprocity. I took a look at their web site, will have to check it out sometime, looks very nice. Sorry to hear you may be leaving the SR family but understand. You don't have to have a SR to join in, hope you can make it if you can:) After season down here just looking forward to having a few days to do just nothing for a change:)

Caladesi is a great place provided the no-see-um don't carry you away, you don't wind up tripping the power pedestal three times at night and you don't take your props out going through Hurricane Pass :)

After 5pm and before 8am it's like your own private place.

Looks like a wonderful place. We are on the west coast in March - but doubt we go that far north. Keep the forum posted how the planning progresses ( ya never know).

Have already learned meeting up with fellow CSR members is awesome..

Ouch, that sounds painful-:(

Gotta agree with that:) How far north on the West coast are you planning on going? We generally go south for us, Captiva, Cayo Costa etc., which are beautiful areas so thought we would go North for a change. Our son lives in the Caladesi area, boats up there and knows it well so he's joining us. Hope you manage to make it, you'll be very welcome:)
