I have two push-pull knobs that are losing their gold color. Do I replace the knob or the who mechanism? Where do I find them?

Are these the ones that are normally flush with the rosette that surrounds them, and you push them in and they pop out while at the same time releasing the latching mechanism?

Mine were/are made by Hafele and I suspect yours are the same. Through Hafele, I found a local dealer for Hafele that was extremely helpful. I ordered all new ones in satin/brushed nickel to update the interior. I stuck with the plastic ones, but brass with various topcoat colors was available, as well. For (5) buttons and (7) rosettes (two were for my tambour doors) I paid just under $30 shipped to my home.

I originally tried Founder Pounder and they do have this stuff, but unfortunately didn't have everything I needed in the appropriate sizes (although maybe they will for you). But, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that ordering from this local dealer was even cheaper than FP! Nice bonus!

Although you can replace just the knob and/or rosette, you might consider replacing the latching mechanism while you're at it. Some of mine started to not latch anymore and there is a new design (direct fit, though) that is better.

Bill, I have some of the chrome pulls I will give you but the gold rings I cut out when I replaced them. Flounder Pounder Marine does have what you need I suspect and they probably have the best price. Don't forget to brush up on your BBQ skills, you may need them on Labor Day!
